We recently met a Chinese believer and his wife at McDonald's. We noticed him reading a Bible and struck up a conversation with him. What emerged was exciting. This man really wants to learn how to help Chinese reach other Chinese. We all shared our personal stories and talked to each other for a couple of hours. He has been in regular contact with us since then. On Saturday, Jonathan met with them for a couple of hours and shared resources and talked and answered questions and asked questions to help get this man started. We'll both be meeting with them again this week.
While our time left is short, we want to take full advantage of it. We're excited about this man who wants to see God do something big among the Chinese here. He is probably more encouraging to us than we are to him.
Pray he'll use the resources we are giving him and put what we talk about and plan for into practice. Pray we'll maximum the time we have left to help him.
This shows us that there is never a time to slow down or quit. God will open doors in unexpected places at unexpected times. We have to be ready, open our mouths, and go where God leads. And it's always an exciting journey along the way....
